Biography Dr.LiliYangiscurrentlyanAssociateProfessoratUCLA.ShereceivedherB.S.degreeinBiologyfromtheUniversityofScience&TechnologyofChina(USTC)in1997,herM.S.degreeinBiomedicalSciencesfromtheUniversityofCalifornia,Riverside(UCR)in1999,andherPh.D.degreeinBiologyfromtheCaliforniaInstituteofTechnology(Caltech)in2004.SheobtainedherPh.D.trainingattheLaboratoryofDavidBaltimore.Postgraduation,shestayedatCaltechandledamulti-institutionalEngineeringImmunityProgramfrom2004to2012,developinggene-andcell-basedimmunotherapiesforcancerandHIV/AIDS.ShejoinedtheUniversityofCalifornia,LosAngeles(UCLA)asanAssistantProfessorin2013.HerlaboratoryatUCLAstudiestumorimmunologyandcancerimmunotherapy,withaspecialfocusonstemcell-basedandgene-engineeredimmunotherapyforcancer.Herworkhasresultedinover35peer-reviewedpublications(inprestigiousjournalsincludingNature,NatureBiotechnology,CellStemCell,PNAS,JExpMed,JClinInvest,Blood,etc.),15patents,2clinicaltrials,and2biotechstartups.
