CitizensandresidentsarefreetotravelabroadatanytimeprovidedthattheTravelandReturnPolicyisadheredtowhenreturningtoQatar. TheMinistryofPublicHealthadvisescitizensandresidentstolookupandcomplywithCOVID-19healthmeasurescurrentlyinplaceinthedestinationcountry. TravelersareresponsibleforkeepinguptodatewithchangestotheTravelandReturnPolicythroughofficialsourcesbeforeplanningtotraveltoQatar. TravelersmustcomplywithQatar'sCOVID-19proceduresatalltimetoreducethespreadofCOVID-19.  TravelerswhoarerequiredtohaveaPCRlabresultbeforetravelingtoQatarmusthaveitatamedicalcenterauthorizedbythehealthauthoritiesinthecountryofdeparture. Anegativetestresultisrequiredandmustbeobtainednomorethan 48hoursbeforethetimeofdeparturefromthecountryoforigin.(Pleaseseethepre-traveltestrulesfordetailedguidance.) Documentaryrequirementsfornon-residentsofQatar- Inaddition,fullyvaccinated(i.e.,thosewhoreceivedathirdCOVID-19shotorwhohadaseconddosewithinthelast9months)andrecovered(withinthelast12months) ​:a) ForGCCnationalsandGCCresidentswhomeetstheimmunitycriteria,thefollowingCOVIDhealthappusedinanyoftheGCCcountriesshallbehonoredandacceptedinQatar, theymayalsodownloadtheEhterazmobileapplication(App)usinganinternationalSIMcard, inlieuofonlinepre-travelregistrationon​conditionthatitreflectsImmunestatus:​ ​Bahrain​ ​BeAwareBahrain ​KingdomofSaudiArabia ​Tawakkalna ​Kuwait ​Shlonik ​Oman ​Tarassud ​UnitedArabEmirates ​​AlHosn b)COVPasshealthappforEUnationalsandEUresidentsshallbehonoredandacceptedinQatarinlieuofonlineregistrationonconditionthattheymeettheimmunitycriteriaandreflectedin: EuropeanUnioncountries ​Europeanpassapp ​UnitedKingdom ​NHSCOVIDPass Travelerswhoarefullyimmunized​ and holdanyoftheabovehealthappsshallbeexemptedfromonlineregistrationandarerequiredtoproceedtoanyauthorizedprivateclinicsforRapidAntigenTestwithin24hoursoftheirarrivalinQatar.Pre-travelRT-PCRtestisrequiredforimmuneandnon-immunetravelerscomingfromthecountriesunderRedHealthMeasures.Meanwhile,non-immunetravelersmustregisteronthepre-travelregistrationplatformandsubmittheirpre-travelPCRtest. ​TravelersoftheabovetwocategoriesareremindedthatitismandatorytodownloadandactivateQatar’sEhterazmobilehealthappassoonastheyarrive. ​c)Non-residentsofQatar whoarenon-immune/unvaccinatedORwhodoesnotfallintheabove2categoriesmustregisterviathepre-travelregistrationsystemforpeopleenteringtheStateofQataron  ww​w.ehteraz.gov.qawebsiteanduploadallrelevantofficialdocuments,whereapplicable,suchasvaccinationcertificates,evidenceofpreviousCOVID-19infection,serologyantibodytestresults(forconditionalvaccines),andPCRlabresultatleast3daysbeforearrival.AlthoughuploadingthePCRtestresultisnotmandatoryduringtheelectronicpre-registrationprocess,travelerswhoarerequiredtohavepre-travelPCRtest,mustpresenttheoriginalcopyofthePCRtestresulttotheairlinesinordertoallowthemtoboardtheplane,oratthecountry’sports(landandsea).Yourpre-travelonlineregistrationwillhelpaccelerateyourpassageandclearanceattheportofarrivalforabetterarrivalexperienceinQatar.  Whilepre-travelregistrationremainsoptionalforcitizensandresidentsofQatar,theMinistryofPublicHealthrecommendsthatallindividualsenteringQatarpre-registertoensurethebestexperienceuponarrivalparticularlythosetravelingwithunvaccinatedfamilymemberswhoarerequiredtocompletehomequarantineastheyarerequiredtosignanUndertakingwhichisreadilyavailableintheEhterazonlineregistration.  TheMinistryofPublicHealthhastherighttoconductrandomCOVID-19testing(RapidAntigenTestorPCR)oftravelersuponarrivalinQatarthroughitsair,landandseaports. TravelersmustdownloadtheEhterazmobileapplicationandactivateitontheirmobilephonesusingalocalorinternationalSIMcard. AllpassengersmustsignanUndertakingand AcknowledgementForm​ beforearrivinginQatar.TheformisavailableontheMinistryofPublicHealthwebsite,pre-registrationplatformwebsite www.ehteraz.gov.qa​andairlineonlinebookingform.CitizensandresidentsareexemptedfromthisrequirementontheconditionthattheyarefullyvaccinatedinsidetheStateofQatararrivingfromoneofthecountriestowhichStandardHealthMeasureapply. Self-testingofRapidAntigenisnotapplicabletotravelers.Post-travel/uponarrivalRapidAntigenTestingmustbeconductedatanauthorizedhealthcarefacility:(Pleaseseeourpost-traveltestingpolicyfordetailedinstructions)asfollows: a.​ CitizensandResidents:atanypublic(PHCC)orPrivateclinic. b. GCCCitizens(non-resident)andVisitors:anyonesubjecttohomequarantinewithfirst-degreerelativesshallhavetheirtestingdoneatanyauthorizedprivateclinics;forunvaccinatedchildrenbelow12yrsoldwhoareaccompaniedbyparent/sexemptedfromquarantine,testingwillbeattheportofentry(airport,land,sea). c. Travelerswhoaresubjecttohotelquarantinewillhavetheirtestingdoneatthehotel. TravelerswhoarerequiredtocompletequarantineinahotelquarantinefacilitymustbookaWelcome-HomequarantinepackagethroughDiscoverQatar’swebsite https://www.discoverqatar.qa/welcome-home/. Inthecaseofhomequarantine,accommodationconditionsmustbeappropriate,andifthepropertydoesnotcomplywiththeconditionsmentionedintheundertaking,thetravelermustbookthehotelquarantinepackagethroughDiscoverQatar'swebsitebeforetravellingtoQatar. TravelersarrivinginQatarshouldgototheCOVID-19testclinicattheentryportincaseofanyCOVID-19-relatedsymptomsandtakethenecessaryisolationmeasures. TravelersshouldnotgotoworkormixwithothersuntiltheRapidAntigenTest resultisout. Forunvaccinatedtravelers,theirhealthstatusintheEhterazappwillbeYellowbecausetheyareunderquarantine(pleasereviewthequarantinepolicyfordetailedinstructions). TheHealthStatusontheEhterazappwillremainyellowthroughoutthequarantineperiod,untiltheresultoftheCOVID-19testcomesoutnegativeinaccordancewiththeabovequarantinepolicy.  TheHeathStatusontheEhterazmobileappforfullyvaccinatedpersonsinQatarwillremaingreenwithagoldenframetoindicatethattheyareexcludedfromquarantineiftheresultofthePCRtestisnegativeandthattheyhavecompleted14daysfromthedateoftheprescribeddosesofthevaccine. TheHealthStatusforcitizensandresidentswhohavereceivedthevaccineoutsideQatarwillremaingreenwithoutagoldenframeuntiltheirvaccinedataisupdatedinthesystem.
