AftercollectingthreeyearsofairqualitydataattheCupertinosite,theAirDistrictreviewedthedataanddevelopedaSummaryandAnalysisofCupertinoAirMonitoringResults(PDF). SpecialPurposeMonitoringinCupertino CupertinoresidentshadbeenconcernedthattheLehighCementPlantanditsassociateddieseltrucktrafficcouldhavesignificantairqualityimpactsonnearbyneighborhoods.Consequently,thestudy measurespollutantsinambientairspecifictothoseemissionsfromLehighanditsassociatedtrucktraffic. AftercollectinganentireyearofdatafromSeptember2010throughAugustof2011,AirDistrictstaffreviewedthedataanddeveloped aSummaryandAnalysisofCupertinoMonitoringResults–RevisedIncluding2012Data(835KbPDF,11pgs,revised11/20/14).  TheAirDistrict’sCupertinoairmonitoringequipmentishousedinatraileratMonteVistaPark,inaresidentialareaaboutonemileeastoftheLehighCementPlantandtwoblockssouthofStevensCreekBlvd.Pollutants continuously measuredincludeozone,sulfurdioxide,particulatematter,nitrogenoxide,nitrogendioxide,hydrocarbons,andcarbonmonoxide. HourlyaveragesforthesepollutantscanbeviewedandcomparedwithotherlocationsontheAirDistrict’sRealTimeAirQualityDatawebpage. Hourlywindsandtemperaturearealsomeasuredinthepark.
