Thecauseofbenignovariantumor Thecausesforovariantumorarestillunknown.Generallyspeaking,mostofthecommonovariantumorswerebenign.Therearealsomalignantovariancancerrelatedtoriskfactorslikelowparity,infertility,earlymenarche,andlatemenopause. Clinicalfeature usuallynospecificsymptoms dullnesspainordiscomfort sometimesitcausessevereabdominalpainduetothetumortorsionorrupture irregularmenstruationperiod abnormalvaginalbleeding palpablelowerabdominalmass upsetgastrointestinalsymptoms,suchaspoorappetite Treatment Foryoungpatient,physiciansoftenprescribeoralcontraceptivemedicationtosuppressovarianfunctionandfurtherreducetheriskoffunctionalovariancancer. Ifthetumorissmall,patientsarerecommendedtodofollow-upsattheout-patientdepartment,butifthetumorcontinuestogrowbigwithmultiplecysts,orwhenabnormalbloodflowisdiscoveredwithultrasonography,patientsaresuggestedtoundergolaparotomyorlaparoscopicoperationasthetreatment.
