B.Thisdifficultyisduetoaperceivedneedtosavetheitemsandtodistressassociatedwithdiscardingthem. C.Thedifficultydiscardingpossessionsresultsintheaccumulationofpossessionsthatcongestandclutteractivelivingareasandsubstantiallycompromisestheirintendeduse.Iflivingareasareuncluttered,itisonlybecauseoftheinterventionsofthirdparties(e.g.,familymembers,cleaners,authorities). Treatment[edit] TherearenomedicationscurrentlyapprovedbytheFoodandDrugAdministrationfortreatingthesymptomsofhoarding.Somemedications,suchasselectiveserotoninreuptakeinhibitors(SSRIs)andserotonin/norepinephrinereuptakeinhibitors(SNRIs),canbeusedoff-labelforindividualsdiagnosedwithhoardingdisorder.
